Every time I add a new tag to my blacklist, I think I'll never have to see something that will ruin my day again. That point never comes. When I blocked rape, I thought I would never have to see fetishization of a nonconsensual act. How foolish I was. I thought the same thing when I blocked forced, even questionable consent. My blacklist currently contains 11 different tags relating to consent. I've resolved to blocking "struggle," although that still won't protect me from people who are unwilling to admit that the art they enjoy depicts non-consent in a positive light. For that, I simply block entire artists. It's a crude fix, but I honestly don't know what else to do. If it gets bad enough, I may have to eventually block "BDSM," which is a fetish I don't have a problem with and sometimes even like. I get it, "it's just fiction," but it still makes me feel like shit to see, and to know that there are often multiple people involved in the process of showing me it that are very proud of themselves.
I still haven't blocked Fuf. His fans are diligent in tagging, and if I see one of his pieces, it makes me aware of a hole in my blacklist. I have to thank him for that.
