Description

This is the first in a series of illustrations that will expand the lore of Hotsatyr at each solstice and equinox, revealing more of their untamed world as the seasons turn! 🌷

Today is the Spring Equinox, the one sacred day when the Tuatha Dé Danann perform their solemn duty to ensure the continuity of their lineage. This is not an act of passion, but of purpose: a ritualistic, sacred moment that sustains their people. This day is also the only day of the year when the Tuatha are fertile, making it an essential moment for their survival. Yet, while they approach this day with reverence, the satyrs have other ideas.

On this day, their wild nature overrides their usual territorial instincts, and they gather in an unrestrained celebration. When they tire of indulging among themselves, they turn their attention to the Tuatha, spilling into their sacred groves with music, laughter, and mischief. The Tuatha, too focused on their own rites, have no time to chase them away and resign themselves to sharing the feast, doing their best to uphold their traditions amid the chaos.

This illustration is a gay and erotic reimagining of Gallia of the Endless Dance, originally illustrated by Johannes Voss for Magic: The Gathering. I’ve brought back his original idea of the wine (which was discarded by Magic) and kept the comic touch of the banana.

  • I was wondering why this piece looked so familiar! Gallia reimagined with Hotsatyrs! Nice touch with the banana, too!
