Difficult. Jeez. I'd have done the urban background stuff other people did but I just didn't want to sign up for that extra work. So, instead you get COLORS! lol
I'm pleased with how the posing came out even if there are some mistakes both in perspective and anatomy. Overall, this is exactly what I wanted. Mostly. I stubbornly stuck with the "big head = no neck" thing and felt a tad guilty for just drawing a [Human] body with a cartoon head attached to it but I at least did my diligence in trying to translate what I thought was an appropriate body-type for her. Though I do think the head looks a tad too big. Oh well.
The whole thing was based on a thumbnail drawing I did and I wanted to stick with the constraint of keeping with that composition for better or worse. As a result, one major thing I ended up having to wrestle with was the fore-shortening of her arm. The funny thing is, I think I did it correctly but you can't actually see that because of how her arm is pushing up Dax's jacket and obscuring her elbow (plus, her elbow being partially off-screen). Another "oh well". Something to learn from. Also, while it may look like I fucked up Dax's body proportions with his legs, that's actually just them jutting out sideways like they do in the cartoon. lol
