This week’s second (late) fun animal fact: the regal horned lizard shoots blood out of its eyes. it does this by contracting muscles to stop blood flow back to the heart, causing blood to flow into the head. Its blood fills its ocular sinuses, and when it’s ready, it strongly contracts muscles to burst the sinus membranes, launching the blood out of the eye socket (but not from the eye itself).

of course I'm stuck with the deadliest spider, there was a new species of the Funnel web, called "big boy", the reason it's named that? because it's nearly double the size of the Funnel web (I think)
