he really just needs to tell her what's up. he's doing himself no favours by keeping someone who would definitely understand and be willing to help at arm's length.

also, I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong by talking to the owls. I mean, even if Schnee wasn't already on the way to pick up/return with the real Copper, going to ask about Eis is really suspicious.
