Description

I used chatGPT to help me make a random furry character with random clothes and characteristics.
I used ChatGPT to generate 5 lists of random clothes and animal features, and made a character based off of that.

I used a hammer to smash 5 puppies. Generate something with AI and upload it as your college homework, they will knock your teeth out with a book. Coca cola used AI in their latest Christmas ad, and it looks: Awful, Soulless, Sterile, Low effort AND Low quality. Their marketing team has no passion for their work and whoever greenlit that ad is a gullible idiot.

You're an artist, there seems to be a solid grasp of quality in your work, why the hell would you use an AI to suggest random bs to draw. Look at this piece, you half assed it not because you were lazy but because a part of you knows nothing good could come out of it if the inspiration was the equivalent of asking some streamer's live chat to make up a random oc on the fly.

No cohesion, no theme, no story to the character, its all random slop. Does it mean anything to you? Do you value the end result like it came from your heart and mind and not fucking ChatGPT?

You must be aware that there are other methods to get good character design inspiration that doesn't involve AI prompts, i hope you realize how much AI hurts creativity and artists in general and i hope you know you're shooting yourself on the foot.

I'm not saying you suck at drawing or coming up with concepts, i'm saying the ideas should come out of someone with a soul, the very principle of art is humanity. You can do better than some lame machine.

That is a very good point, I was writing a whole thing about how I’m basically the same and how I could sum up every other oc I’ve made into a couple words max, like “selfie bird cat” or “always hungry cat dog thing”, but I’ve just realized that past the visual description the AI ones actually have /no/ story, I can’t even get a single word in beside how they look. You’re very right there.

thanks you for saying all that, I never realized how people feel about ai doing that, nor did I realize before that characters I create have a tiny bit of story attached to them before I even think about it.

Thank you :3 (I hope I understood the point, I’ve got the reading comprehension of a 2 year old haha)
