Entry 1:
It is now understood that most if not all specialized drones are captured ponies which have undergone a changelingification process that has warped their bodies and minds to better serve the hive. The weeks of enslavement which include forced labor, harmful extractions and humiliation inflicted upon the abducted results in drained husks which, upon their rescue, require intensive care and rehabilitation.
While it was previously theorized that those fully depleted of their fortitude or will had no further use for the hive and were consumed or otherwise discarded, recent rescue operations into major hives have led to unnerving discoveries which expands our knowledge of the changeling evolutionary process and it’s new acceptance of incorporating and modifying non-changeling DNA to create hybrid drones with unique proprieties. After cross-examining missing pony reports with the physical descriptions gathered on royal guard testimonies of unusual drone encounters, we have been able to come up with the conclusion that a particularly resilient and able-bodied specimen is likely to have their physical attributes augmented at the cost of a near-total drain of all mental capacity, leaving only sheer loyalty to the hive and base instincts.
The opposite, a subject showing excessive wits and great emotional intelligence will instead be consigned to a mental prison, their bodies permanently encased within a cocoon that is pumped full of aphrodisiacs and hallucinogens, directly connected to the hivemind and supplying it with a volatile supply of love for as long as their brain can function. Recovery of specimens having undergone either of those extreme specializations have been largely unsuccessful, the relatively low threat they pose to Equestria’s safety makes them a regrettable outcome of changeling abduction raids, but one that is effectively self-contained given the low chance of survival beyond a couple months.
