    I thought is was so cute when Star helped Balto get into Steele's place on the team
    harness, as if now he had redeemed himself, now he was their leader. Star is my favorite Balto character - and I drew quite a bit of him back when the movie came out (so those drawings are hideously old and I wouldn't want to ever post them >_> ).

    BUT< flash forward till 2009 when I did the first sketch - it was my first time drawing Balto - and he is tricky to draw right -

    (an old R34 adage; if it isn't immediately recognizable as the character you are
    doing R34 of - then you've failed). Suffice to say I was not happy with that attempt
    at the time and it was consigned to the scraps.

    Now, years later, I pulled it out and had a peek at it - and figured I'd give this pairing another try - I really felt there was a really cute friendly bond going on in the movie with Balto and Star and I wanted to show what a kind and giving leader
    Balto could be <^__^>

    I think Star enjoys the regime change.
